Check Spring Replacement on Longarms with Electronic Tension Measurement System
Changing Check Spring - Longarms without electronic tension measurement systems.
If you own a Handi Quilter Simply Sixteen, older Avante’s/Fusion’s, Baby Lock Coronet. Janome QMP 18 or similar machines without the electronic tension measurement system learn how to replace your top tension check spring (aka take-up spring). 10 minutes and less than $10.
As you will see the swap is pretty easy - and I encourage you to keep a spare spring as they "know" when you have a project with a tight deadline and your retailer with spare parts is closed and the spring will break at 5:02pm Saturday night when your retailer doesn't open til Tuesday....and the quilt is due Monday.
Quilt on!
