Carriage “Rocking,” Wheels Not in Constant Contact

If you notice an Amara, Forte, Regalia, or other similar machine “rocking” as it moves from front-to-rear / rear-to-front on the carriage, and one or more of the wheels of the machine housing are not in constant contact with the carriage, the likely issue is a leveling screw that is out of adjustment.

The picture shows the gap of (in this case) the left-rear wheel looking at the machine from the front that is not in contact with the track on the carriage and results in the longarm “rocking/jerking” as it moves back and forth.

If you have this situation it is easy to check and adjust the leveling screw if needed – the only tool you need is a 5mm allen/hex wrench – you should have received one in the tool set that came with your longarm.

This video will give you a quick overview of how to adjust.
